Hmmm, in the time I have had to dedicate to it this week my weekly eZine got pushed down the queue but one of the things I do know is I commit to writing to you each week and I appreciate the feedback I get and the practice it gives me to keep my writing muscle strong .
Next week I shall plan a more robust and more newsy and on time eZine and there’s what you plan and then that’s what happens and it’s a phrase I use a lot…
For someone who likes to plan ahead and put steps in place that make life easier it does somehow throw me off my game when things just have to change and be reordered…but I’m used to it when things don’t go exactly to plan!
I normally write my eZine on a Thursday or Friday morning first thing and this last week we had visitors and a few household challenges which meant my attention was very much elsewhere.
Here’s the thing though I’m not going to apologise to you or fall on the floor with remorse saying sorry all the time.
You probably didn’t notice and I just had to let go .
I’ve been working with clients this week and certainly three of them all have the sorry not sorry affliction going on.
I even said to one client after hearing her speak about what she wanted to work on with me “I would guess you say sorry a lot even when you don’t have to” …
She said to me along the lines of, “oh my goodness Kay, have you been sitting in my office? I do all the time I say it in emails and I said to people face-to-face.”
And here’s the thing Amanda for the most part she doesn’t have to say sorry at all .
Because there’s nothing to apologise for and secondly because you can say something else instead, which stops you seeping your power.
Do notice how often you say sorry and ask yourself do I really have something to be sorry for?
Am I just saying it for something to say and because I feel either embarrassed or at a disadvantage?
What if I said what I can do or what the facts are and left the rest…they can always ask for more if they want it (mostly they don’t).
I don’t feel the need either so here is a brief missive version of this week’s easy eZine.
